Have you had the chance to familiarize yourself with the first 200+ bands that SXSW annouced last month? No? Well, that’s too bad, as they’ve just released the names of an additional 200 bands who will be performing at the festival/conference/madness/what have you.
Local acts added to the list are Dick Prall, Joe Pug, and The Hood Internet. Also, a lot of acts from Spain and Brazil, which made searching for “IL” and “IN” (to look for any local neighbors) a bit of a hassle.
More acts that I’m excited about: an horse, Anya Marina, Blue Roses, Dawn Kinnard (who hails from State College, PA, apparently), DD/MM/YYY, Fyfe Dangerfield, Jeremy Messersmith, Jill Barber, Justin Rutledge, Lissie, Los Lonely Boys, Luke Doucet, Melissa McClelland, The Low Anthem, The Trews, The Young Republic, and Vandaveer.
SXSW has also begun releasing information on panels, for those who are interested in going and, I don’t know, learning something.Â
I’m still dithering over whether or not to go, but as more acts get added to the list, the more I’m leaning towards heading out there.
