Not much going on this week, but hey, it’s the holidays, there’s some expectation to spend time with loved ones or something. I don’t know. There are still some interesting things going on, though. There are two nights of the do-it-yourself Messiah, where the audience gets the music and gets to sing along, and for the third year in a row, I’ve forgotten to get tickets to go. Schubas has a holiday party, complete with live band karaoke. Lincoln Hall, meanwhile, has a benefit performance put on by various women-in-rock from Chicago, for the CAWC Greenhouse Shelter, a shelter for abused women and children.
