A note to the city of Chicago: Â I don’t care what kind of ridiculous budget cuts you have to make in the future, given that the city’s got a gigantic budget deficit to make up for. Â Please never, ever let go of Michael Orlove. Â This guy has done a whole lot to energize downtown Chicago with music of all genres. Â And best of all, it’s free.
This year’s schedule has been… leaked? Â Announced? Â Whatever, Jim DeRogatis posted it, and I’m pretty sure he’s usually right.
The schedule is below. Â Of course, the one that everyone is flailing all over is the She & Him show. Â I’m tempted to try to go to all of them. Â I mean, it’s free. Â Why not? Â (Aside: whenever I saw Andrew Bird’s free show at Millennium Park in 2008, there were a lot of people there who were clearly just there because it was free, and were really really confused by the quirky guy with the violin.)
