Australian multi-instrumentalist Gotye returns with new album Making Mirrors, his first of all original material since 2006’s Like Drawing Blood. The second single, “Somebody That I Used to Know”, features New Zealander Kimbra on vocals. Gotye’s music has a vaguely experimental, electronic feel to it, and this song is no exception. Â The video is vaguely NSFW, as it features two people who are clearly undressed, covered artistically in paint. Â No naughty bits are shown, but if you want to exercise an abundance of caution, perhaps you should wait until you get home to watch.
You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
Like resignation to the end
Always the end
So when we found that we could not make sense
Well you said that we would still be friends
But I’ll admit that I was glad that it was over
