There’s this Railroad Revival Tour going on next month. Mumford & Sons, Old Crow Medicine Show, and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros playing out west. That is going to be a good show. A friend of mine linked me to Entertainment Weekly’s post on it, though, and that’s where my eyebrows went up. The press […]

While the rest of the world was out enjoying themselves in drunken year-end debauchery, I was home making a best of 2010 mix. That’s basically the story of my life. Check it out below, via this handy little Grooveshark widget. Happy new year, all.

Witty banter would mean nothing without stellar music to back it up, and fortuately, Mumford & Sons have continued to deliver on that mark. Their performance is tight, without skipped beats or botched notes, but not so polished as to feel inauthentic.

I am having a love/hate relationship with this year’s Lollapalooza schedule. It’s not like last year, where I was able to fill every inch of my day with bands. But maybe that’s a good thing — more time for aimlessly wandering from stage to stage, more opportunities to discover something new. Here’s where you’re most likely to find me this year:

Look what’s up in a timely fashion, my friends. Â I did a lot of non-blog related writing this past month, and almost all of it was completed to a soundtrack consisting of Mumford & Sons, Peter Wolf Crier, and Joe Pug. Â But there was other stuff, too. Â Check it out.
