This Week in Great Music: 11/23 - 11/29
A bit of a late post for this week's concert run-down. Between preparing a couple of other posts for the site, and doing the job that I actually get paid for, there wasn't a whole lot of spare time this morning to pull things together.Tuesday is a night of competing artists-who-had-songs-on-popular-television, with Imogen Heap's ("Hide and Seek" on The O.C., among others) sold out show at the Vic and Kate Havnevik's ("Unlike Me" on Grey's Anatomy) more intimate show at SPACE in Evanston. I'm still debating making a trip to the Blind Pilot show, mostly for a chance to check out Lincoln Hall's acoustics from a spot that isn't right up against the stage.Monday, November 23Cameron McGill and What Army, with Vandaveer and A Lull, Schubas. 8 pm, $8Tuesday, November 24Imogen Heap, the Vic. 7 pm, sold outKate Havnevik, SPACE. 8 pm, $8-18Ari Hest with Declan O'Rourke, Lincoln Hall. 9 pm, $15Wednesday, November 25Haley Bonar with Daniel Knox and Sin Ropas, Schubas. 8 pm, $10Blind Pilot with Laura Veirs and the Hall of Flames and Mimicking Birds, Lincoln Hall. 9 pm, $14Thursday, November 26Nothing; apparently you're supposed to spend this day with loved ones?Friday, November 27Joseph Arthur with The Horse's Ha, Old Town School of Folk Music. 8 pm, $18-22Hawthorne Heights, Reggie's Rock Club (2109 S.
