Wow, That's A Good Song: Rhett and Link, "The BBQ Song"
Tuesday is the worst. We accept that Monday is going to be terrible. Wednesday has the Hump Day designation, so the worst is over. Thursday is the day before Friday, so it has that going for it, and Friday might as well be the weekend. Tuesday is the only one that has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.Today I am choosing to fight the evils of Tuesday with an educational song that is relevant to my interests. (It's lunchtime, and you can't get stuff this good in suburban Denver. You just can't.) It is so fabulous that it must be shared. This is our review of barbecueIn the Southern United StatesAnd when my life is throughBury me in barbecuePeople not from the SouthThink barbecue means cookoutAnd that's something they're wrong aboutBarbecue is not a verbAnd barbecue is not a grillBarbecue is meat prepared in a very special wayWhich varies depending on where you goWhat more can you ask for around lunchtime? For more information, check out the Southern Foodways Alliance. It's got nothing to do with the song, but their information -- yes, Alabama barbecue really does have a mayo-based sauce -- goes a little more in-depth. And they have a Skillet Brigade. Can't beat that. And now, if you'll excuse me, it's lunchtime.Rhett and Link: Official Site | Facebook | YouTube | Store
