This Week in Great Music: 9/5 - 9/11

Summer may be winding down, but festival season isn't quite over yet.  The AV Club presents AV Fest, taking place at the Hideout, on September 10th and 11th.  You can see acts including Hum, The Thermals, and Like Pioneers on Saturday; Sunday includes Archers of Loaf, Tokyo Police Club, and Maps & Atlases.  Entry is a $10 suggested donation, with a portion of the proceeds going to Rock for Kids.The Chicago Fringe Fest enters its second year, taking place in Pilsen.  The fest runs through the 11th and is mainly theatre focused; however, my band, Jungle of Cities, will be performing a short set on the 11th at Meridian Stage, located at 1932 S.
