Hooray for Covers! La Santa Cecilia, "Tainted Love"
I discovered La Santa Cecilia on Twitter, after someone linked to a video featuring Elvis Costello and La Marisoul, the lead singer of La Santa Cecilia, performing "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood". Â I could take Costello or leave him, but I instantly fell in love with Marisoul's voice and had to do some Googling to find out more.
La Santa Cecilia is a Los Angeles based band which combines traditional Latin American music with modern rock and jazz. Â I'm in love with their songs that lean more towards traditional music, but this cover of "Tainted Love" is pretty darn good, too.
