This Week in Great Music: 10/11 - 10/17
This is basically the worst week in the world for concerts. And by worst, I mean full of too many choices. I'll be at the Brandi Carlile show at SPACE on Wednesday, and at DeVotchKa at Lincoln Hall on Saturday. The rest of the week is up in the air. I'll probably be sobbing under my desk rather than making any real decisions.
Langhorne Slim & Ha Ha Tonka, Lincoln Hall 7/23
Entertaining in an oh-god-why-can't-people-control-themselves sort of way was the drunk girl who sprawled out on stage, and eventually got up to drunkenly dance on the stage. This is why we can't have nice things, people.
This Week in Great Music: 7/19 - 7/25
As usual for the summer, there are a ton of great shows going on which also happen to be free. Trek on down to Millennium Park or Navy Pier to check out some cost-free tunes.
This Week in Great Music: 2/15 - 2/21
Some interesting shows going on this week. The Antlers stop by The Vic and will undoubtedly perform some beautifully atmospheric songs from Hospice. Snook Dog managed to sell out the Metro, Greg Laswell has his second night of his winter residency up at SPACE, and Billy Corgan lends his name and talent to a benefit show for the Kellogg Cancer Care Center.
