Scheduling for Lollapalooza is so hard.
I am having a love/hate relationship with this year's Lollapalooza schedule. It's not like last year, where I was able to fill every inch of my day with bands. Newport Folk Festival: July 30 - August 1
You can tell that summer is rapidly approaching, given the number of festival line-ups that are tumbling in. The Newport Folk Festival, in (where else) Newport, Rhode Island, has announced its lineup for its 2010 festival.
February in Review
While I fuss about, trying to upload photos and write reviews of the past two nights' worth of concerts, have a little mixtape of some of my favorite songs/artists from this past month.
Concert Review: Nneka at the Double Door, 2/14
A show by Nneka isn't just an introduction to her heartfelt brand of soul music. It's also a crash course in world affairs, the realities of living in an oil-rich nation, and in Nigerian politics.
Wow, That's a Good Song: Nneka, "Heartbeat"
Check out Nneka in Chicago this Sunday at the Double Door. Local artist Jerome Holloway opens. I'm digging out my credit card to buy my tickets as we speak.
